The chorus of this beautiful song is my new mantra! God bless you Amy Grant for putting into words- into beautiful words- what so many of us busy mamas are feeling!

wiNteR fAirY WonDErLaNd
I am making winter fairy jars! I will sell them in my etsy store if anyone is interested. Also, for anyone local I will take some up to the gift shop at Auburn mall. This is sooooo much fun!! I am kind of hoping that I get called out of work due to weather in the morning so I can spend the time on making more jars! Let it snow...let it snow....let it snow!!

Home
I just want to stay home. I want to be there for my little ones anytime they need a hug, to snuggle, to cry, to show me the most beautiful picture they just drew. I want to be there. I want to be there for my older kiddos, for meal time chats, for midday walks, to tuck them in before they are too old to be tucked in anymore! I won't even mind if sometimes they take me for granted for always being there. I want to spend the day up to my elbows in dishes and up to my knees in laundry. I want to have the chance to do it again- to be the stay at home mom I was- only better. I want to help, encourage and support my dear husband in his goals and dreams. I want cook the meals with my daughters. I want to color with my little ones. I want to play board games (maybe even computer games?!) with my 13 year old. Yes I know I can squeeze the time in to do those things now, but it is not the same as staying at home and doing them, its just not.
I am not complaining, I am not looking down at other moms who work happily outside of the home. I just wanted to share my hearts desires because this is me, it is what I think about and dream about all the time.

sweet gypsy doll
My first altered doll- and a new found interest- a gypsy cottage style look. Lovely imperfect fabrics and found objects-pieces- discarded, forgotten. God takes the tattered pieces of our lives and makes something beautiful of it.I am not perfect, but I am beautiful- everything about me is covered by God's love and his sovereign grace- my shortcomings, my mistakes, my past, my future, my children, my husband, my needs, my desires.....my beautiful life!!! Thank you oh Father for your love for me! Please help me to share your sweet beauty and grace with others.

Look at me, I'm blogging!
I asked the wonderfully talented artist, Joanna Pierotti, for advice on selling my artwork. One of her tips was to start a blog. So, look at me, I'm blogging! If you haven't ever seen Joanna's work...you must must must! Mosshill.blogs.com and her new website. She is selling the most beautiful collage pages in the world!
I just started selling my artwork on etsy, sundapplednest.etsy.com . God works in mysterious and delightfully funny ways! I have two artist's blogs bookmarked- Joanna Pierotti's Moss hill and Nellie Wartman's earlymorningthoughts.typepad.com. I have had these two bookmarked for quite some time now. I had never corresponded with Nellie though. So guess who was the first person to purchase from my etsy store? None other than the incredibly talanted artist, NellieWortman! Thank you Nellie, what a boost of confidence!! I love Nellie's artwork nellieworman.etsy.com and was delighted that she would buy a piece from me!
